Before I begin here are my specs.

Mobo: XFX 750a
Processor: AMD Socket AM2 6000+ 3.10 x2
CPU Fan: Zalman 9700 Nvidia Edition
CPU Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5
Power Supply: Antec True Power Quatro 1000 watt modular p/s
Video Cards:(2) EVGA 8800GTS 320mb running on sli mode.
Ram: 4GB of OCZ Sli edition ram.
Case: Antec X-Alien.
Case Fans: 4 exhaust fans and two intake fans.

My PC was running great, I was noticing a strange noise from my hard drive, but boot up time was a breeze this thing ate everything i threw at it and asked for more, I decided to step it up a notch and bought a liquid cooling system, the box said all AMD K8 processors so I bought it, when I got home I took off my video card fans and slapped on the liquid cooling ones, then I took out my modo and and tried to slap the bracket on but nope it was not the same shape, I was upset so I put it back together took off the liquid cooling fans for the video cards and added the stock fans. When I booted my Bios settings needed to be re-set, It took a good 3 minutes for my pc to boot to windows, and Sli mode was disabled from the bios, my processor was running way too hot, and my video cards felt as if they where blowing no air even though the fans where spinning. I just replaced the HDD and formatted the hard drive added all updated drivers. It is loading faster but my PC is very laggy and it idles at around 40, before it was idling at 31 or 27c. I can still game but some games send my monitor out of range it is a Syntax 20 inch LCD monitor.

Any Ideas? I already tried tightening the mobo bracket I though maybe it was loose but nope it was not loose.

I upped the RPM's on my CPU fan I got it down to 36c on idle but if any cpu usage starts it goes up to 50 or 60c and god forbid i game before while gaming i would get up to maybe 40 or 42 now im up to 66 or 67c.

I would guess that the cooling system was not adequate for the job. As far as cooling goes if you are going to replace the OEM heatsink and fan to get better cooling you can't go wrong with Zalman after market heatsinks. I personally would not use a liquid cooling system for so many reasons.

I, myself run a Liquid Cooling system on my main PC so i know what a headache it can be.

I would make sure that the Bios jumpers on your motherboard are set right (you may have changed them and forgot) and also that all of the contacts from when you re-seated the heat sink/fans are OK, if you take off a stock cooler from a CUP/GPU I Recommend removing all excess thermal paste with Isopropyl rubbing alcohol to put a new application of it on. As for the bios errors and the Graphics cards not utilizing SLI... I haven't the slightest idea.. I'm guessing that you have checked ALL connections Power/SLI bridge.

mmmm...I presume you have overclocked the system? :)

1) Check if the settings in the BIOS are REALY set back to normal;
2) Do a bios-reset via the jumpers on the motherboard
3) As the previous guy said, check if your cpu is set firmly as well as the heatsink...
4) If you did a complete system-install WHILE the computer was still set at "overclocking" speed, you need to Re-install windows AFTER settings has been set back to normal, as sometimes, when a system is overclocked, it can write "garbage" to the HDD.

I have seen a couple of cpu's in the past where guys did overclocking and actually buggered their cpu's up...Hope its not so in your case...

PS: one thing that is a concern to me is the fact that you said you heard something from the HDD...If its faulty, it can also make your pc jerky and freeze up, as well as being extremely slow at certain times...
