This makes me feel incompetent but for the life of me I can not put this tab key back in place. My short range vision isnt very good due to eye surgeries in the past but even with jewelers glasses with the light and magnifiers I don't see anything wrong. I even took off the | \ key above enter since they are the same size but I can't put it back either. I put them back to exactly how I see in videos and they act normal until you push on them on the bottom of the key then the top pops right off.

I should have taken some pictures but wanted to hear about your experiences with this model of acer.

I think it could be the latches that hold the key to the keyboard could be bent prohibiting the key from attaching correctly. I had a case like this and after finding out the problem, and trying to pry the latch up, ended in breaking the latch and having to do a keyboard replacement. In cases of key replacement I would just recommend a full keyboard replacement.

Thats what I was thinking, I suspect the latches at the top are defective but my close range vision is not good enough to be completely sure.
