Scanning to email from Printer

Small peer to peer networks, 3 different clients, 3 different makes of printer, Brother, Canon, HP. Windows 11 unable to scan to email, can scan from computer then add file to email. Windows 10 users CAN scan directly to email. Normal scanning some Win 11 users can only scan from the computer, unable to scan from the printer to their computer. I'm really started to get a hate on for Win 11.

What are the ages of the printers in question and how recent is their most recent software?

I suspect something like @mmerry does.

I also try to teach clients that "Scan from computer" and then attach files is the reliable way to handle things, as I have yet to have an instance where that doesn't work. Scan from printer to {insert destination here} seems to fail relatively often.

SMBv1 issue?

SMB1.0 on, Unauthorized Guest access on. Brother printer brand new out of the box and software download from brother site. Canon 3 years old HP less than 1 year. No issues using windows 10 problem is only with Win 11 and only those that have not updated to the latest Win 11. Thanks for the suggestions keep them coming

Cannon was having scanning issues with 24h2. Do not know if it was fixed yet.
Can you scan with the software on the computer with the Cannon?
