You will be happy to see that Skype (MS) has released a new version of skype for linux!
Ive got it up and running on my fedora 17 64 box running fine. If your installing to a 64 bit box then its going to need the 32 bit libraries to run. This isnt hard especially on Fedora. Simply download the rpm file from their site and as root issue:
Note: As a precaution, I always backup my ~/.Skype directory before upgrading. Just to be sure nothing gets busted.
- Seems alot more stable.
- Fonts are larger easier to read.
- The chat window seems to be stuck in the upper left corner of the screen (??). Might need some work there.
