He writes, “Hi all, We were not allowed to respond to any request nor to post any statement, but now it is official: SlySoft has been shut down after after almost 13 years. The official statement on the website (http://www.slysoft.com/ or http://h4.slysoft.com/) is kind of short: Due to recent regulatory requirements we have had to cease all activities relating to SlySoft Inc. We wish to thank our loyal customers/clients for their patronage over the years. I am really sorry for that, but this is final. SlySoft is gone… Thanks to all our customers and supporters for their loyalty. Goodbye red fox…”

Wow.....
Loved their ISO mount utility....many years ago I saw it used a couple of times by Microsoft server support guys when they'd remote in for your support cases. Used it ever since for my ISO mounter of choice.

Not used any of their other products but their ISO mounter is my go to tool. Thankfully the installer is still easily found at the moment but will need to keep a safe copy squirrelled away from now on.

I've been a (very happy) Virtual CloneDrive user for years. After reading this thread, I went to the web page from which I downloaded it (http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html) and it gets a 404-Not Found. :(

Guess it's gone. I have the installer and as long as it continues to work, I'll keep using it.
If you open up Virtual CloneDrive and take a look in the info tab, you should see that it was actually developed by Elby (aka Elaborate Bytes) and, presently, it's still available from Elby: https://www.elby.ch/en/products/vcd.html

I'm not entirely sure what the relationship with Slysoft and Elby was though or if Elby will remain in business.

Well, Elby has a 20% discount on CloneDVD and CloneBD that ends on Sunday, 2/28. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some agreement that kicks in at that point that will make these go away as well.

Originally Slysoft was spun off from Elby when Swiss law (and anti-piracy regulations in many other countries) made it illegal for Elby to produce software that broke copy protection. Antigua didn't care in those days, but does now. Apparently Belize still doesn't care.
