So lets say I have 4x external HDDs.

and they are filled with music.

they are used on laptops that do not connect to the internet and they travel.

is there a way that once a month, when all the drives are together, at a "home station" of sorts. That they can all update each other on changes made to files or new files added?

Just like a cloud service, but instead of going over the internet updating files, its just when you plug into a "home station" type computer.

Yeah I don't know how they worked it out. However i was syncing an external Hard drive , internal hard drive and a share on my NAS. and it came up with we think you are a pro. user please buy a license. So its my own experience rather than written.

I use allwaysync at home to keep my media files synced to a server and a backup. Love it for my recorded shows.
I also use it to sync pictures and downloads on my main desktop to a NAS.

I have the paid version. Been using it about 2 years now.
