One of my clients got a "Don't forget we're raising the price" renewal email from Teamviewer today. We're not renewing, but I'm not sure they provided enough information for a sane person to decide. Here's a bad screenshot of the important bit:

I can only presume that Teamviewer thinks my client is somewhere other than the US, although I'm not really sure h ow much 125,1 USD is, haha.

Seems like teamviewer is getting to the point of logmein where their price is just getting too high. I love their product 99% of the time but it's getting to the point of looking for alternatives. Quick assist is great if you don't do much remote or need to get in as easy as possible for non savvy clients but teamviewer just runs so much smoother to me. Also nice to have that unattended access computer contact list and some of those features too.

Ultraviewer seems ok as a cheaper alternative but so many damn scammers use that one now lol.

Yeah tried a few alternatives nothing is as good as Teamviewer.

Even though I'm retired I still support many loyal clients all over the world.

I recently renewed, (July13 2024) and they wanted AU$406.40 (including GST) for 1 year.
We have a local office so I called and haggled with the guy on the phone. Ended up getting a 2 yr sub for AU$300 per year (inc GST).

I was happy with that.

Gotta agree nothing as good so it means I stay with them. This year they bumped me to 764 NZD. Did get a phone call from NZ Distributor telling me that they were unable to hold my price BUT if I signed up for a 4 year plan I could get a REAL good rate. Pointed out to him that I had been a TV user since V4 and I was due to retire in a couple of years so NOPE not signing nothing

Teamviewer seems bound and determined to price themselves out of the market dominance it took them decades to establish, and that most other companies would give their eye teeth to obtain and hold.

Volume should be able to be used to lower price. Established technology does not generally become more expensive, but cheaper. There's no reason this should not be true of Teamviewer.
