Have this laptop here, about to return to client. Now when I click on This PC all I get is a never-ending green bar "Working on it".
I have done everything - rebuild Index, clear temp, sysrestore it just wont go away.

EDIT: I removed the network mapped drives via Powershell, seemed to kill the issue....hopefully as I tried numerous times to open This PC - browse around and closed it and repeated. So turned it off now and hopefully it behaves.

I prefer to leave any network related stuff to be done onsite. Over the years I've had too many issues trying to map things, first time, when they're not there.

This is but one of the reasons I strongly prefer to do all work I can possibly do onsite.

The number of variables introduced by the "beyond the computer itself" aspects of the whole ecosystem are often critical. And, at least as often as not, can be at the root of the issue the user is experienced.

After a couple of episodes, early on, where I'd have things brought to me, only to have them function perfectly, and handing them back afterward only to have the same issue initially reported when they were put back into service on site, it became obvious that "removal from the use ecosystem" wasn't necessarily a very good idea.
 
Since I had to poke this bear - I had one of these yesterday. Picked up the laptop and charger to take it up for pickup - that's when I heard the screw rattle around inside...

OMG! I actually have "gently shake the laptop after reassembly to listen for loose screws" on my official list of procedures whenever a tech opens a laptop. Of course, modern laptops are made like such garbage today that it's usually a clip or the plastic part where the screw screws into rather than a screw. I sometimes forget to do this myself unless there's leftover screws (oops!), but that doesn't happen to me very often these days. It really sucks when you've got the computer all back together and you hear something loose in there when you go to move it off the bench and into the "ready for pickup" pile.

Another thing I do is I have a "ready to call" and a "ready to pickup" pile. Once I finish a computer, I test it and make sure it all works, then I move it to the "ready to call" pile. Then a while later I'll pull it from the pile and test it again, going over the invoice to make sure I did everything I was paid to do, test ports/wifi/etc. if I took it apart, shake it to listen for loose screws, etc. Then I'll call the client and put it in the "ready to pickup" pile. This ensures that everything gets checked twice.
