Toshiba A505 Power Issue?

I've got a Toshiba A505 laptop that was brought in for a DC jack repair. The laptop was damaged in the fact that they lifted it by the screen constantly and broke the mount that holds the screen to the case.

In any case, i repaired both but now, when you turn on the laptop, it powers on for about two seconds and then turns off. I thought this might be an overheating issue but after letting it sit plugged in for about an hour (while I was working on something else) I powered it up and it ran fine. Thought it was a fluke so I called them to come get it. Powered it up in front of them and the same issue. Stays on for two seconds, shuts off.

Anyone seen this before?

either loose connection in the computer or an over heating issue. I would suggest takking it all apart and putting it back together peice by peice. Redo the thermal paste when you put it back together.

Too bad the board doesn't automatically post a message "Do you realize the post to which you are replying is over 30 days old?" Might slow down the resurrection of all these zombies. Oh, wait, it's Halloween. That explains it!
