IDK about anyone else here but I have had multiple issues of the power connector (SATA style, not 4 pin Molex) slightly slipping off or becoming crooked in cramped case conditions. It seems that even the slightest tilt or angle of the connection can make the drive not read correctly in explorer and can make the whole computer slow down unexpectedly.

The only thing I can come up with is either using electrical tape, or zip-tie it around the length of the drive threading it through the wires and finally the possibility of a dab of hot glue on the edge than can be cut off easily when it needs to be removed.

So, have any of you had issues like this? How did you fix it?

Use sata data cable with a clip.

Zip tie the sata data connector to the sata power connector, creating lateral pressure against both appertures.

You would then have to try pretty hard to be able to dislodge them from vibration or other impact.
