One thing i have noticed have tried to contact the company the newest version causes issues with windows 10 it eat cpu cycles pegging it at 100% for the tray app if you have an issue with cpu at 100% most of the time then disable the tray autorun of garmin express.

After running a debugger seems to be trying to download a map that does not exist every second eatting cpu cycles have tried to contact them dozens of times no reply it does this on EVERY machine it is installed on.

Do you mind sharing what version number of Garmin Express?

I haven't hit this yet, and if I can avoid it by declining an update to GE I will.

7.0.1.0 also happens with older versions if you remove it from auto start with tray app cpu usage drops by 85% i have tried even fresh loads of win 10 and it still uses huge amounts of cpu cycles.

I probably never would have been hit by this, simply because I stopped using the auto-start feature ages ago. I appreciate knowing about the issue, though.

For something I need/use as infrequently as Garmin Express I can't see any reason to keep it running in the background. I just attach my devices about once per quarter, as that's approximately the release schedule for map and/or software updates for same.
