Windows Media Center Missing (7 HP)

I received a call today from an old client running Windows 7 Home Premium.

His Media Center is missing.

In: appwiz.cpl >> turn windows features on or off

The entire folder for Media Features is missing and there is no mention of

Windows Media Center

wth?

Googling isn't helping these tired eyes.

How would I get him a valid / legit copy of WMC and / or WMP ?

(maybe this answer is obvious, but I am not finding the solution)

I did a search for "windows features missing" and found a lot of links.

I tried a similar approach (it was quite involved), but was unable to restore this feature. I am rechecking the version of his 7, because I recall MC was not part of the beta releases... so maybe he has some sort of pre-release.

I DID check and it was definitely not an EU release.

Absolutely - but he is really needing some component of WMC (don't really know).

The whole thing is a bit dodgy, upon reflection.

I've sent him some nice options... that should be sufficient for this one.
