Would you use Sophos Endpoint without UTM?

Is it worth going with Sophos Cloud Endpoint without an immediate plans to also get a Sophos UTM device? Or would it be better to just go with Bitdefender?

Personally I find their AV to be "just average".

You can go to av-comparatives.org and look at the real world tests....flip back through the tests....and see that they are consistently "average"

And Bitdefender has usually been in the top 3 for the past couple of years.

Golden rule with UTM's - never have the same AV on the UTM, that you are using in the end points. If the UTM misses the threat, so will the endpoint.

Thanks everyone, I've heard good things about Sophos UTM, they say they're AV is right up there after Kaspersky and Bitdefender - but that wasn't the impression I had. (AV Comparatives is the resource I use), but I thought maybe I was missing something (I've seen their AV in several SMB). They had me on their sales pitch of being able to address security from multiple angles which sounded good (if we got a Sophos UTM in the future), but the separate UTM does make sense.

I'm looking around for a new UTM vendor and was looking sophos (I completely agree that their av is average). But their UTM's for small businesses look decent, but I'm curious if anyone else round here has experience with them, good or bad?
