Yeah, thanks I couldn't think of the name of that one. I tried it and it was ok, but it soon bit the dust....sued out of existence.Back in the 2003 era I think Walmart sold a PC that had Linux that was supposed to be like XP, it was "Lindows" or something...
Not doing too well apparently. Seems many are disappointed according to the comments..
The original "Lindows" is apparently alive and well....
Maybe too new? It may show up later?Hmmm.... I don't get it. Wubuntu doesn't show up on DistroWatch at all????
It's been around for a couple of years....it's not new...from some guy from Brazil....hit its website and then follow the Facebook link bottom of the page...scroll through his stuff.Hmmm.... I don't get it. Wubuntu doesn't show up on DistroWatch at all????
It's called Linspire now I think?

The link I showed was alpha releases, apparently they are up to Release 14 now and it's not free you gotta pay.Not doing too well apparently. Seems many are disappointed according to the comments..
They wont last long charging for it. There other "Windows like" alternatives like ZorinOS that are completely free. The link I showed was alpha releases, apparently they are up to Release 14 now and it's not free you gotta pay.
Linspire has been around for 23 years. Even Wubuntu is on version 11 and been around 14 years (formerly LinuxFX which does show up in Distrowatch) and is free. The Pro version costs money just like the Pro version of Ubuntu. They wont last long charging for it. There other "Windows like" alternatives like ZorinOS that are completely free.
I think it's more of a quest for the holy grail of computing - displacing Windows as the dominant OS in the retail market. Which isn't going to happen.
Pretty easy to see why you shouldn't use this, or expect it to be around for much longer.
Makes me sorry I ever started this thread.
