Ever had the need to find a manual for a job but couldn’t find it? Losing a manual happens all the time when it’s something that isn’t used on a regular basis. Using Google or another search engine takes time to sort through all the results which is a waste of precious time most of us don’t have…ManualsLib to the rescue!
ManualsLib is a vast resource of knowledge for all technicians. It’s a huge repository of manuals that can be saved in different ways. Using the online database, techs can search for lost manuals using multiple queries but the most efficient way is to use the model number of the product.
It can save you tons of time from using Google to search for information. Queries can be entered or techs can use filters by manufacturer, category or types. Most manufacturers are listed and the categories go from Printer to Network cable and anything in between.
As an example, I performed a search for “dell xps 8700” and it returned two results:
Both results are in PDF format which make downloading and using them a breeze, in an easy to ready format (for an e-reader). Other ways to view the manuals are: viewing it online, print outs, emailing it and sharing it to a social network.
The best thing about ManualsLib is the free access it gives you without the need to sign in or create an account. (more credentials to remember). As a tech, you can also contribute to the vast database by uploading any manuals you have scanned on your computer or using URLs to other websites.
Give it a try next time you find yourself scouring the internet for a lost manual; make a stop at ManualsLib and take a moment to search their vast index. Your search may come to an end!
What do you, the reader, use for finding missing manuals?
