While ImgBurn isn’t exactly a “repair tool”, it does come in handy in the repair environment. ImgBurn is a small, freeware application for creating CD/DVDs and reading/writing image files.
Its small, simple and does the job well unlike Nero which is massively bloated now days. It also boasts great support for all the Windows OS’s and many different burners including HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. There is also the option to download a portable version of ImgBurn which makes it handy for backup work on a clients PC before a format.
Thanks to dhrandy for recommending this one.

this is probably my favorite burning software to date. 5 stars 2 thumbs up ect..
I like using Burnaware Free.
Great find, I’ll definitely be using this. :)
Your link to the portable version is the same as the regular installer. Here’s a link to the portable version (via Softpedia):

I like using Burnaware Free.
The BEST image burner (iso, img, etc) out there and it’s free.
IMGBurn is great. There’s another one that’s great but I can’t think of it at the moment. I’ll have to dig that up.
I have used this one for about a year. It is great. I regular install it on customer machines who need a good free burner. I suggest they contribute a donation to the author if they like it, and I know many have done so.
I have used this program for over a year and I think it is a great tool to keep nearby.
You gotta love open source software, some great software’s are made open source =D
I’ve already begun downloading this tool =D, I was using PowerIso before.
Nero is definitely not the trendsetter it once was. I’ll definitely check out ImgBurn, as well as BurnAware Free as suggested by Bobbing and Ben.
This is a great and helpful utility. I will be using it from now on. Thanks for pointing it out!
ImgBurn is definitely my favorite burning software. I’m in charge of making all the copies of our church’s sermons each week and I use ImgBurn with great results. I really like the Burn Queue feature!
Imgburn definitely saved my butt today with a client. Their system refused to burn anything using there dvd burning. Tried a couple of other programs and they also had problems. Almost started to think the burner was dead. Tried ImgBurn because I remembered seeing it on here the other day (never used it personally yet) and it worked perfectly the very first time. Thanks for the awesome recommendation!
I was looking for small disk burning for a long time. I will try this definitely.. I am tired of big nero..
Thanks Bryce
This is a great tool I have used it three times in the last 24 hours and it is flawless and fast!
Keep them coming, we may not tell you often enough but you are doing a great job!
Thanks for the community.
I use Norton Ghost to image drives before a windows reinstall. That way everything is backed up, even the files users have ‘hidden’ to stop people finding them. That way I just dump the whole drive image on the desktop in a folder called ‘Rescued Files’, and make shortcuts for people to places like their ‘My Documents’ folder.
I have this software on my Home pc and I actually had a friend use it to back up his Xbox 360 games too-:) Very user friendly and like it was said before: it’s free!!!!
Great Posting}! i know you are the best writer. your post is well written and i think i will bookmark this site and share to my friend .. have a nice day :)
