Vista Recovery Disk – Access Vista’s System Recovery without the Recovery Disc

Shares

Here is an interesting problem. How does someone access Windows Vistas advanced system recovery options (similar to XP’s repair console) if the computer didnt come with a Vista disk? The answer is the Vista Recovery Disk.

The Recovery disk is essentially the Windows Vista install disk, but with the operating system install files stripped out. Just download the ISO, burn it to a CD and boot the computer with it.

Note: This will only work on systems with Windows Vista installed.

Nedal, you are the one being a sarcastic idiot to someone just trying to help people. Your the one who’s rash……and of course you hate america, were better than you…lol

  • Don says:

Yes, this is already available on the vista installation disk itself – no need to download any additional disks.

Windows 7 has this built in. It will automatically repair the system.

  • IT Tech says:

And what pray tell will you do when your newly purchased sytem comes without the disk? gee googleing for this disk – WIN 7?!?!? well if it won’t boot I guess it’s automassiveness won’t be repairing

Thank you, thank you!! My neighbor has a Vista computer that came without a disk, so I’ve been carefully using my UBCD4WIN on it, afraid that I’ll do more harm than good. It nearly died after getting badly infected. All my computers are XP, so no Vista disk here. I was about to ask around to see if I could borrow a disk, but this is better! This is a disk I can keep! Yay!!!

i cant get any of these files to work correctly. I can get them downloaded, but once downloaded i cannot get them to burn an iso image to a disk properly. I know how to burn iso’s…At least i thought so before this lol.
