VistaTweaker – Tweak All Settings in XP and Vista
VistaTweaker is a free, stand alone tool for tweaking settings in in both Windows XP and Windows Vista (unlike TweakUI). This application has a nice, clean interface which displays information on what each setting will do and show you which ones are Windows Vista specific. It also has many more settings that are changeable compared to TweakUI which are all useful. Since Vista is slowly creeping its way onto home computers, this one is a must have for a onsite technicians toolbox.

Ok, so this is a “Use at your own risk” download. Has anyone given this a shot yet? I would never feel comfortable testing new software on a clients machine and after the tech release of Vista a while ago, I have dug in my feet when it comes to purchasing Vista.
I tested it and took this screenshot on Windows XP and it works fine. I haven’t tested it on my Vista box though.
Another fantastic method of tweaking XP or Vista is via a pre defined reg file, this reg file can be integrated during the setup via RunOnceEX method or by just executing a bat file at the first logon.

A word of advice though ! please go through all the tweaks mentioned in the reg file and customize it to your liking. Not all tweaks may be suitable for all computer configurations
