I know this is an old thread but I just acquired this a few weeks ago. I already used it to take a laptop apart. Love it.

The latter of those two would be a "must have" were I doing frequent work that involved dissassembling laptops. It would save a lot of grief as far as knowing where all the little screws, etc., were when it came time for reassembling.

This is not a huge part of my work, in general, so I end up using a towel or sheet on the work surface to keep the little bits captured. That mat is a far more elegant and practical solution.

One thing I didn't realize until I got the mat and used it, the screw trays on the right side are magnetic. A nice surprise. Of course, it grips the surface so there is not much of a chance of it slipping.
