Alternative to Logmein Pro for customers

I never see MSP Anywhere, formerly BeAnywhere, mentioned but I pay $25 a month and get unlimited concurrent sessions, as many techs as I want, and I can use up to 50 unattended agents. I did get a discount by telling them I wanted to switch from my current provider at the time, that was logmein.

+1 for Slpashtop.

We have used a couple of different products since we moved away from LogMeIn a couple of years ago, Primarily we use Instant HouseCall though we are trialling ConnectWise Remote at the moment. Very good product indeed.

Check out Splashtop. It is $60/yr per license. It lets 1 user connect to 10 devices.

I've been using Splashtop for a couple of years and I'm very satisfied with it. It's reasonably priced and lets me do everything I need to do, including remote support from my phone from my wife's hospital room after the birth of our son. I was not popular.

It does occasionally have trouble connecting, but this is rare. For a small business like mine the cost savings are huge over the main alternatives.

I subscribe to Splashtop On-Demand Supprt (1 technician) and Splashtop Business (1 user).

I asked this question a while back when I was wondering about a TeamViewer license. This is good information here. LogMeIn had some things about them that I questioned. I can't remember what they were but I opted not to go with them.

When you all talk about "ScreenConnect", you are referring to what is now ConnectWise Control right?
Yes. ScreenConnect used to be a self-hosted solution and was very inexpensive with a one-time price per concurrent connection. For those of us who bought in at that rate we've been able to buy upgrades at the old price. They now have a newer more expensive pricing structure. Probably still competitive but not a bargain like it used to be. They also now offer a hosted / cloud based option.

4 tickets to GoToAssist...0 replies, Really? When I talked to TS they tell me its a known issue. Three months+ later they still know about it, but still have to constantly reset connections. Made the jump to Connectwise. About 1/3 less for the plan, no 100 unattended limit and can connect to 10 computers at time instead of 8. Instant House Call was a close 2nd for me.

I use AnyDesk - works great and clean
I've just finished doing a direct comparison of ConnectWise Control (self hosted from a friend, and free trial), TeamViewer, and AnyDesk; AnyDesk blew ConnectWise away on performance. TeamViewer was usually as quick as AnyDesk, but not always.
After factoring in the pricing, AnyDesk looks very good.

Of course now I have to go try out SolarWinds offerings... o_O

Curious - care to elaborate?

Mouse lag in CWC was tolerable, while in AD it was extremely responsive. Dragging a window around seemed a lot smoother in AD. All around, I just had a better experience. I will be testing again.

I also didn't like the fact that CWC had manual quality settings. The image quality was pretty bad on "medium" (Especially sitting side by side with AD). Interesting solution to go to b&w for low quality though!

One quirk with AnyDesk, was that the image was a fair bit yellower than TV or CWC. Not enough to make it matter, just a little strange.

One thing I don't like about ScreenConnect (ConnectWise) is that once you're signed in, any computer is wide open to you. With LogMeIn you need a computer access code too.

SC has the ability to annotate which is useful for me when the client is also in front of their screen.

Been using Connectwise Control for three years. Got in with self hosted before pricing went nuts. Have about 400 client connections. Never had a problem. Best bang for the buck I found.
