I used remotezilla and webex. But for quick fix, I used Ammyy Admin. Ammyy Admin is very dependable and I don't have to messed with firewall.
I like the service feature of Ammy Admin. Once it's configured properly, you can reboot and reconnect with out anyone on the remote site.
Only the connection / authentication is pass thru Ammy Admin Server. Once connected, the Ammy Admin Server can go down and you wont drop your connection
This is what the sales /tech person told me. But I haven't tested it out.
If you want a complete no third party involvement and only pay once for licensing, then try Remotezilla. This is my backup to backup remote access. It hasn't fail me yet.
