Important to know that it seems Apple was aware of the problem (How could they not be, considering the amount of returns and warranty repairs) and continued to place the defective keyboard in future models.

$500-$700 for Apple to replace the keyboard out of the 1 year warranty.

Many users having keyboard replaced multiple times in a single year.

Currently in its second generation, the tech has not received a glowing reception after its mechanism was found to fail twice as fast as MacBooks with a more traditional keyboard.

And people are not happy about such failings, as AppleInsider reports that a case has been filed in the Northern District Court of California alleging that "thousands" of owners of the newer MacBook Pro models have experienced some form of Butterfly keyboard related failure.

The lawsuit alleges that Apple knew that the delicate nature of the Butterfly mechanism, first introduced with the 2015 12in MacBook, was prone to premature failure, but Cupertino forged on with the design all the same.

That's why I love watching Luis. He pretty much makes a living on fixing apple's garbage but he has no hesitation pointing out all the BS apple does.
Yep, he just had one where he said the strongest part (or something to that effect) in a MacBook was the backlight fuse. The one he was working on had the trace behind the fuse blown out, but the fuse was still good.
