AV-Comparatives releases Real World Tests for August 2015

Interesting that the few that hit 100% also had false positives. Perhaps that reflects a "better safe than sorry" approach.

Kaspersky hit 99.8 with no false positives. Makes me think the big K might also hit 100 if they were less averse to false positives.

Nevertheless, it looks like I'll be continuing to recommend Kaspersky and picking up inexpensive licenses when they go on sale somewhere.

they don't show Symantec / Norton ? Or maybe it is just so low on the list that it is in the negatives?

one issue I have with these products like Trend is that configuring them can be a nightmare. I can't "set it and forget it"... I have to keep coming back to massage the settings to help the program work nicely with other systems.

Curious to know if they supply the compromised viruses to the vendors so they can improve their game.

They always get invited by AV-C (as do all the AV brands)....but for the last year or whatever...refused to allow their product to be tested. The AV manufacturer has to allow their product to be tested....it's up to them, not AV-C.

If I remember that right Norton had several low test results and Norton claimed it was flawed testing and then pulled out of the testing with AV.

I have just started reselling Panda after I found a supplier at £4.25 per licence.

I have been looking to get marketing material as I think it is a very good product, posters, empty boxes's etc without success. You would think they would love us to advertise their product but it appears not.

Anyone else reselling it had any look getting any point of sale stuff from them?

Might say 0 false positives for kaspersky but you know they test with popular downloads. Kaspersky is a ruthless slayer of legit but unpopular apps and scripts.

Where's your pride, MS? I see that you're non-competive but have you no shame?
