this is time consuming 30-45min downloading and installing...
so is there any way to download the latest updates and then put them on usb stick and have it ready to install in any xp fresh install?

man i doing a lot on xp installs and people still using at&t phone cable internet
and it takes for ever to download, and then install ,so please anyone advice on this, what maybe the fastest way to do the updates..

till now all the time i was doing them manual and all the install of fresh system and then the drivers and updates take a while,so
thats why i am asking ...

thank you for any advice!

WSUS offline updates or autopatcher will do the job. Search the forums as there are already many threads dealing with this subject.

+1 on WSUS offline, especially with XP, I have it fully updated for all versions and MS Office this saves so much time. I think it can also be configured to run from a server on your LAN.
I should get the finger out and slipstream SP into an XP disc, on my list of to do's :)

well i try this before,
and did for windows xp,
and i have downloaded the updates and burn it to a cd,and when i have did a fresh install of a xp and put the disc and did the updates,it went okay, but i have restart the pc and try to do auto online the updates and it still said that i had 90 updates to install!,so i think something was up...

this where my check box before i have start using wsus:

top-check box- windows xp -english
then hit start,

so maybe i did not do something right?...

thanks
