Billing rates

Sometimes I wish my location would permit me to charge more, but it doesn't. Regardless, my rates are fair for my area.

Residential
$60/hour
1 hour minimum, 15 minute increments thereafter

Business
$80/hour
1 hour minimum, 30 minute increments thereafter

Networking
$80/hour
1 hour minimum, 30 minute increments thereafter

Remote Support
$30/½ hour
½ hour minimum, 15 minute increments thereafter

Prices listed is for labor only and does not include sales tax, hardware/parts &/or software, backup media, materials or shipping of parts if needed. Not all services we offer can be done on-site. Priority servicing available (in by 2 pm, out by 2 pm next business day, except Friday's and Weekend's) and incurs an additional fee.
And of course my rates for in-shop are fixed. I only make house calls for residential customers within the city limits, venturing outside the limits is reserved for business customers only. I will admit, that my residential pricing (for my location) is structured in a way that generally detours residential customers and Walmart shoppers.

My rates are constrained by my local market, though it might be time to revisit them.

In Shop Labor:
$50hr.

Onsite Labor:
$65hr.
1hr. Min
.25hr. increments

After Hour/Weekend:
$75hr.
1hr. Min
.25hr. increments

Emergency:
$100hr.

Onsite residential £70 for first hour then £35 per half hour.
Onsite Business £90 for first hour then £45 per half hour.
Remote support charged half-hourly as above.

I wouldn't say that out loud, @sapphirescales hasn't posted yet. :p

I haven't posted yet because I don't bill by the hour, I quote by the job. This is one of the main reasons I can charge so much. Even in-shop rates are flat rate, quote-by-the-job. Some jobs I make $700+ an hour. Others I make $30/hour. I try to average at least $150/hour across all my invoices, but I don't keep track of how much I make an hour because that's not how my shop is set up.

1 hour minimum onsite, 30 min increments after. Remote support I charge a little less, and that is 30 minute minimum with 30 min increments after on the same issue/ticket. Mileage charge for any location outside of 20-30min drive, from my office to jobsite roundtrip. I raised my rates on Oct 1, no real push back from my clients.

In shop is flat rate.

Onsite $65/hr portal-portal 1 hour minimum. After hours is $97.50/hr.

We don't do much remote, just mainly for our POS clients that are 1-2 hours away. For them it's not billable if it's a software issue covered by maintenance. Outside of that I have a guy who moved to Dallas and he needs some help time to time.

I know that feeling. I had only 1 MSP client in Richardson which is over an hour away from me. But they decided to let the other businesses in the building know about me and now I have 5 businesses I do MSP for. The good thing is they are all in one building, the bad thing is, I now have 5 businesses that I have to visit once a month so instead of just 30 minutes onsite, I'm stuck there for a couple hours. But thats not the worst of it, the worst is the drive back on 35N at 5:30 in the evening, traffic is horrid.
