Does anyone have a recommendation for a printer capable of printing on real heavy cardstock? After going through several HPs, I need one that can actually do it without jamming.
None of the smb desktop HPs are up to it, even with the highest settings.

Recently setup an Okidata C711 - rated up to 120lb in the tray and 140lb in MP feeder. The client was a local town office for the building inspector to print the permits on very heavy stock.

I hope you've been looking at options that will feed it straight through rather than following the normal paper path.

Beat me too it. Most of the time when I have had complaints about card stock, people are trying to feed it through one of the regular trays. All card stock should be fed through the MP tray.

Not just the multipurpose tray, but some laser printers have both a regular output tray on top and the ability to feed paper out a slot on the back of the printer so it's a straight paper path. I haven't really looked for this recently, but I suspect many still have it. It just won't stack paper nicely.

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree with the straight through paper path function. Harder to find than you might think, most high end printers don't have it.

Since this was for a receptionist desk, and doesn't get a lot of use other than printing specialty cards in low volume,we settled on a little $100 Brother that seems to do the trick.

Thanks again.
