[WARNING] Chrome Extension Manifest V3 May Break uBlock Origin Content Blocker

If Chrome makes it so that ad blockers are no longer effective, I'll stop using Chrome. I will NOT go back to an internet infested with ads. I've been ad-free for over 10 years now just like I've been commercial-free for nearly 15 years. If these a$$holes think they're going to force me back to their outdated paradigm, think again.

Yep buck em...I'll go to any browser that allows it before using chrome anymore if that happens.

Yeah. If all else fails I'll even use Opera or Maxthon or any other weird off the wall browser. I don't care. The #1 most important feature of a browser (other than being able to display web pages of course) is the ability to block ads. I'd rather give up bookmarks, tabs, and the backward/forward buttons! I'll even use Edge or IE6! Whatever it takes.

Have you considered....... Firefox?

I personally use Firefox most of the time but you can't beat the "Wow!" factor when using Chrome and having a questions and answer session with Google's Voice Assistant on Chrome in front of a customer. I'm also seeing Ublock Origin causing me more grief than normal these days so I'm not sure I'd miss it that much.

Ah, see I run Firefox as my daily driver, with both uMatrix and uBlock Origin (and Ghostery, but that's more for info on categories of why things are being blocked).

I'm used to some things regularly being a little broken as far as display (at least by comparison to how the original designers wanted them to look) because a lot of websites load a lot of stuff from a ton of different places.

Doesn't affect most of our clients as they are behind an Untangle firewall which runs Adblocker right there at the gateway.
But...I do love my uBlock Origin in Chrome on my laptop here! So for "road warriers"..that sucks!

Do they want millions to switch back to Firefox? This is certainly how you do it! I can’t imagine using a browser without an ad blocker.

No, they think that Chrome/Chromium is dominant enough now that Firefox will not be able to become a significant alternative again.
