Client used to have her email at google workspace and I migrated them to O365 like ... 12 years ago. For some reason in the last year more and more people are sending her Google Docs.

She is unable to login to her account because the her account was the primary email used at admin.google.com when her email was at Google Workspace.

It's like her account is in a permanent suspension. When I try to reset the password for her google account (janedoe@contoso.com) I get this.

I offered to set her up an alias ... something to the effect of jane.doe@contoso.com and setup a Google account using that email and then have them email the invitation there but she says that is not acceptable.

It like when we migrated away from Google Workspace her account went into purgatory or something.

She of course has no credentials for anything.

Any ideas?

she says that is not acceptable.

Sometimes you don't get what you want. I wouldn't spend much time tilting at this windmill. Something is either fubar with her old google account, or it's by design on their end. No matter what, it's unlikely to be fixed without getting their tech support involved. I sure don't have time for that, I'll bet you don't either. :-)

@HCHTech: Yep. It's a spin on the old saw, "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Trying to revive something that's not been active for 12 years, and insisting this is the only acceptable option, is unreasonable. If you don't want a guaranteed fix that is, at worst, ever so slightly inconvenient, find someone else to torture. I'm done.

End users are a special type of torture

I have a client with the exact same problem.

@thecomputerguy do you get a choice to log in to a Business or a Personal account? That's what we encountered and can't get in to either. We're in limbo right now.

Whether I go to Gmail.com or admin.google.com I am not given an option to login to a work or personal account the process always ends in contact your administrator.

Here's what we were getting when trying to sign in to a Google account
