Company Vehicle questions. What do you guys have? Is it worth the cost?

I had a 2006 Subaru Forester which was okay until the engine exploded (rod bearing). I traded it into my mechanic and bought his used 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. Lots of room now for 3 ladders, boxes of cable, parts, etc. I get called soccer mom as a joke by a couple of my clients. Meh whatever. It's actually a lot more comfortable to drive than the Forester. About the same gas mileage too (a little less right now due to having winter tires installed). I have not decided whether I want to get it wrapped or any business logo on it. I'm kind of an aggressive driver and having my business name on my vehicle would probably be a bad idea :P

I drive a 2007 Wrangler, four door. The so-so mileage is offset by the cargo space, the ease of maintenance, and all my clients love it. Been solid for 171,000 miles so far.

Advice about using an accountant/tax expert is right on. Also, image is important, that's why the car that visits the client is a Mercedes. Shows class and is equated to successful business... and you can purchaser an older one in great condition inside and out if you live in or near an affluent neighborhood. The year is not as important since few people can really tell one year from another on these cars.
Our other vehicle is an 'extended base' minivan which can transport a full size air-conditioned server rack when all but the front seats are removed.
Mercedes vs BMW ... personally I think they say different things about the owner/driver. Then again, a number of our clients know that I ride a pocket rocket, so what does that say about me? Who cares:p:p:p
