"Cool Looking" laptop?

This is a first, good business customer of mine wants a laptop with the following qualities:

- Fast (ok, doable)
- Thin & light (ok, ultrabook)
- Windows, with a touchscreen, use like a tablet sometimes (ok, convertible ultrabook)
- HDMI Out so I can use it with my TV & desktop monitor (that's most all of them - no problem)
- Cool Looking (uhhhhh.......)

So, i7 Lenovo Yoga 13 or 14, or Dell XPS13. I don't know about the "Cool Looking" part, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

Is there something out there I don't know about that might be a little out of the box? This guy is a successful jeweler, so cost isn't the top consideration. I'm thinking to just stick with what I know and recommend the Lenovo (better reputation, longer warranty out of the box, etc.), but thought I'd throw this out there anyway to see what others thought.

Inspiron 7000 13 inch is nice! 8th gen i7. If you have the budget for XPS then probably no compelling reason for inspiron.

That's a good point. The Yoga would be my choice I don't know what the heck he means by "cool looking", I think I'm going to interpret it as "looks expensive" for now and just ask him. The Spectre is also sharp looking, I do worry about it's high-res display some. Great for pics & such, awful for business programs. I'll have to quiz him about what programs he plans on running to make that call.

I would not recommended XPS systems. We tried them in a corporate environment and had a lot of troubles with them. The build quality is not the same as Latitudes.

I think in general the quality of Dell's offerings has declined. The latest iteration of Optiplexes just feel cheap. Smaller cases, more plastic, lighter, and typical Dell, not one extra wire from the power supply should you ever want to add a drive (not to mention a video card). I try to avoid the consumer models, even for residential customers, but I've lost faith that the Optis are really that much better. I suspect the extra cost is really just paying for the longer warranty.

The Thinkpad versions of Yogas....not the residential versions.
Although we also like some Dell models...only biz grade, of which the XPS is not (it's in the Inspiron residential grade family)
