Easus Todo Backup Workstation or Acronis True Image

Hello all. I was just thinking that the new Easus Todo may be worth purchasing as I would like to get a backup/imaging program soon. I was originally thinking of going with Acronis Backup and recovery workstation 11 w/ universal restore but I see that the new Todo has that feature and it is about 50$ cheaper than Acronis. I was wondering if any of you have experience with Easus Todo. Is it fairly easy to use? It appears to be fairly feature rich but I wanted to get the opinions of some people that have used it before. Thanks.

I use and would recommend Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Workstation. It's a more professionally targeted version than the TI Home.

I use and love Paragon Backup and Recovery. It has their Adaptave Restore (basically same thing as Acronis Universal Restore) and is included in the price.

I used to use Paragon but got sick of some problems with it. I found it would quite often not restore properly, especially if I chose to try to restore just the one partition. It went through the motions but then I ended up with just a RAW disk and a partition rescue didn't fix it either.

Acronis workstation also has much slicker automatic image mounting than the Paragon I was using. You can just use Windows Explorer to find the image file and open it like a directory in which you'll see folders for each disk. You can navigate through those to find any individual file and open it or whatever without ever starting Acronis's front-end.

I still think GImageX is pretty darn good... makes using Microsoft's ImageX as easy as point and click.

I am considering using the Easus Todo backup program for a small business of 5 PC's (Windows 7 Pro). I was looking at Acronis but their latest version 2012 has MANY complaints about locking up systems etc. from long-time users of their program. Macrium Reflect has been good but it is over twice the price for a small business.

Easus Todo backup will also restore to different hardware.

Another to consider is Drive Snapshot. It's portable, fast, and easily mounts the backup as a virtual drive for individual file extraction. Cost is $50.

I have used Easeus Todo backup to clone drives 4 times this month and I have been very happy with it.

Do you have experience restoring to different hardware? i just wonder how dissimilar the hardware can be.

yes...I have images of the different OS versions taken with the software and I use all the time with completely different hardware specs and it works great. I then run driverpacks or driver solutions after first boot up.
