Experience with Wix?

I met with a new client the last 2 days that is in a bit of a bind and am about at a roadblock now looking for any advice or past experiences with Wix.

Short story, the client had hired a web designer about 2 years ago to design their site and configure email. The 'designer' created the site in what appears to be an affiliate or reseller account through Wix and purchased the domain through GoDaddy. He also purchased through Wix the GSuite emails. The Gsuite emails have now gone into suspension mode due to non payment after the credit card on file expired so they have no access to any of the email accounts. They also have no access to the account in which the site or mailboxes were purchased in. It was all handled by the 'designer' which has now disappeared with no working email or phone numbers. The office never used outlook so there are no local backups of the email.

The domain I can get back through GoDaddy since she has all the needed paperwork to claim ownership of it so that is not the worry. I have contacted Google and they are unable to do anything with the account since it was sold through Wix and they have the only control of it (so they say). I have tried contacting Wix various different ways but cannot a live person on the phone. I even requested a quote to have them design a custom site with one of my junk email accounts hoping to get at least a sales person but have yet to hear from anyone.

Has anyone ever dealt with Wix or possibly an affiliate with a more direct contact number for them? If you have worked with Wix, have you ever or are you even able to transfer the Gsuite purchases out of Wix and go directly to Google. I want to move them off this Wix platform completely and move/create a new site on my preferred host.

Hello,
I've had an okay experience with Wix, I use the GSuite email and I did contact them but I created a ticket for support for something I found out later wasn't possible -_- Did you create a ticket?

Here's the link: http://www.wix.com/support/html5/submit-a-ticket

For phone numbers I've found these:
From the U.S. dial toll free 1-800-6000-WIX (949)
From the UK dial toll free +44-808-164-1677
From all other countries dial +1-415-639-9034

They recommend you have the support ID which is in the account itself, but I doubt you have that handy.

This "designer" never gave any login info, besides the G Suite emails?

Thank you Tech Savvy. Unfortunately I have tried that number already and all it does is send you a text with a link to the support page. I did create a dummy account to try and submit a ticket but because I have no services purchases on that account I am not eligible for premium support and it asks to upgrade my account. The only login ever given was to the actual email accounts. I searched all of the client's personal email accounts and the entire text log from her phone which was how they primarily contacted each other.

Mark - the domain is in the designers name registered under GoDaddy. There is no privacy protection but all the contact information is outdated and the phone numbers disabled. The listed address is simply a P.O. box at a location that has since turned into a restaurant. I would rather not post the whois report just quite yet as I was notified this morning one of his family members did get in touch with my client after a bombardment of social media posts to anyone I could find connected to him yesterday so we are hoping we can track him down still.

Sorry for the late update, just been insanely busy the last few days. Apparently his now ex wife that I had reached out to on facebook gave us his new phone number and address. He has since moved out of state and is no longer doing Web design. I called him and he attempted to try and get more money out of us in order to transfer the domain and login info for the Wix account.

Luckily I have some generous Lawyers as long term clients that wrote up an intent to sue draft pro bono along with evidence that the client had already paid this extra $350 in the past to transfer the accounts and info which they never did. We threatened to sue for breach of the entire contract and services since it included maintenance, blog updates etc which was never done plus attorney time. Shortly after he received the letter Monday night he contacted me and gave me all the login info and initiated the transfer to a new GoDaddy account. We were able to pay for 1 month Gsuite so at least they have their email back and I am in the process now of removing the GSuite account from Wix directly to Google. Now that I actually have access that should be no problem. Worst case I sync it all in Outlook locally and migrate it to a new account.
