I've been searching for software that will allow me to edit a .iso file (by deleting a file and then adding a replacement file within the .ISO). Everything I've found so far is $30. Am I looking far and wide enough?

I use imgburn for capturing and burning iso's. But I'm slip streaming a Vista SP2 DVD. So I need to edit out the .WIM file and replace it with a newly created one. I will see if I can make 7-zip work with it.

IsoBuster

You will have to enable advanced editing, adding and deleting:
Options > File System settings > File System(s) (tab) > SIG (sub tab) >check "Enable advanced file editing, deleting, adding"

This program is good for recovering files from bad disc.

Options > File System Settings > and all that... What is that in reference to? Because I don't see any such settings with 7 Zip.

I didn't post anything about the 7 Zip program. I post about a program called IsoBuster.

IsoBuster is a free program to edit and add and delete files in a ISO image, download and install it then you will have to turn on the option "Enable advanced file editing, deleting, adding" to do this start the IsoBuster program and click on the Options menu then click File System settings then click the File System(s) tab then click the SIG sub tab you will see a check box for "Enable advanced file editing, deleting, adding" check it.

I use the IsoBuster program to recover files from bad disc but I've never used it to write a file to a Iso file. I just turned on the "Enable advanced file editing, deleting, adding" option and I am not getting the add file menu that they show in the help for the program.

Edit:
I guess editing, deleting and adding are only available in a paid version of the program, I turned on the option but can only see and extract files.
