Gateway BIOS problem

Pardon my laptop ignorance. ( I dont mess with notebooks )
They can only have one slot sometimes.... So you always wind up tossing the other stick if that is the case?

Yes, netbooks especially. You also have to remove sticks when up grading a 512-512 or 512-0 to 1GB-1GB fairly often also.

Yeah that makes sense if I have a PC with two slots. I would actually would be doing the same thing. Seemed more like a waste because it was notebook memory which I think of as being harder to get rid of :)

CPU-Z only shows one slot. I am not impressed with Gateway's replies nor am I impressed with the info I have managed to gather. I will NOT recommend Gateway to anyone, after this experience.
