I have a system that was originally running WinXP. Specs:

Mobo: EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR
Graphics: EVGA 7900GT

Client wanted this system upgraded so I threw in an SSD, another 2GB of RAM, and upgraded to Win7 64bit. The system uses two of these cards with the SLI bridge but for the sake of resolving this I have removed the 2nd card. I have tested each card separately and both give the same issue.

Note the issues here do not happen when the generic windows drivers are installed. I've tried the latest display drivers from EVGA, NVidia, and what's listed on Windows Update -- same problem.

Basically what happens is the screen goes nuts at certain points. I've read that this problem happens when the card switches from 2d mode to 3d mode. The display gets corrupted (see pics) for about 15-20 seconds then switches back to normal. Upon boot and displaying the desktop it happens. If I launch IE or FF it happens.

A few fixes I've tried is settings the NVidia 3D setting preference settings to full performance, also full quality. Neither changes the issue and in fact the screen corruption happens when sliding the slider.

I read some users had success using RivaTuner to lock the 2d/3d switching, however I cannot find any drivers that RivaTuner can see and tweak.

Just as a side note... the client doesn't do any gaming whatsoever. He streams movies and yt to his TV set and that's about it, so as long as I can get this thing to work with multiple displays then that would be fine.

Anyone have any ideas on what to try here. This is driving me nuts.
