(HELP) How do you remotely view within an RDP session?

I have a client with virtual workstations running in their server. If I ever need to see what they are seeing how do I get in? If I use logmein it will boot them out of the remote session.

I'd prefer not to have to use something skimpy like join.me

I've always been able to use Teamviewer, connect to the client (not the server) and see inside their RDP session without any trouble. I'm surprised logmein doesn't work that way.

Realvnc? Or uvnc?...

You need to use something that is initiated by the person using the RDP session, so TeamViewer, ScreenConnect, AmmyAdmin would work.
Remote control software that you install, usually for using in an unattended situation, would log you into the console session so basically the administrator's session and not an RDP session.

You can connect to RDP sessions and mirror the users session but you need to first log into the administrator console and then connect from there.
It will prompt the user but I think you can disable the prompts through the Terminal Server settings.

What is the host server here? There are built in native methods that will properly shadow a users session, without turning to 3rd party.
But the answer depends on what you're running.

I have Teamviewer setup for unattended access to certain clients... I can initiate a remote session while the user is inside an RDP, and everytime I've been able to see their RDP as that window (which is full-screened) is what has the focus. I would also be able to manipulate the remote session as if I were actually sitting in front of the machine.

Log into the server as an administrator via RDP, open task manager them go users tab click remote control

The end users will have to accept the request, once that is done you will be viewing the same RDP session they see
