I kind of figured that, since it was stated to be a backup file (and a sizable one at that) that the link I provided would make it pretty obvious what file type it was.
Let's also note that the OP hasn't returned to confirm anything...but with 35 posts in 2 years, who'd expect that?
I don't know where I thought that searching .ADI on that site would give "Active Disk Image" as a result....THe link YOU provided does NOT mention the backup program. Only the Sybase database or the adobe plot file.
There is a similar site http://fileext.com with 2 E's that gives different results . I went there first myself and was a bit confused.
Of course, just googling what the op asked, . "adi backup" gives the right answer as well.
Which is all well and good but it was implied that the link I gave in Post#3 to this thread gave vague answers. I'm merely pointing out that it, indeed, did not.
