I have an HP Pavilion Elite HPE desktop that I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I am trying to connect an HP LaserJet 200 M251 printer but the install keeps failing.

I am able to ping the printer.
I downloaded the drivers from HP's website for Win 10 64b. During the install, I have tried finding the printer by allowing the installer to automatically find as well as entering the printer's IP address.

It looks like it is going to install until then end, then I get "A fatal error occurred preventing product use."

I have tried HP Print and Scan Doctor v 5.2.1.

I have turned off the ZoneAlarm (I have had issues with ZA in the past installing a usb Wi-Fi) firewall as well as the Norton 360 firewall and that didn't help.

The printer is connected to the network (home network) via network cable, the desktop is on Wi-Fi. I will look for the Wizard, thanks.

I just realized that the Print Spooler keeps stopping. It is set to automatic and I just adjusted settings on the resource tab set to restart (all 3 options). Still no help.

1. Tweakings AIO tool
2. I'd see if there is just a driver package without all the fluff. Install that then manually add the printer via ethernet. If it passes then go back to wireless to see if it works.

1: I actually left AIO running on it this morning but have not tested it yet.

2: I will try this if AIO didn’t help.

Thanks

You really have two pieces of sh*t on that machine, blocking each other and wonder about the results? Get the neccessary removal tools and get rid of this useless pieces of software. After that, your installation will end successful.
