Well it looks like I was able to get this resolved. I contacted the mail service, who then contacted, the domain provider, who then contacted some company called Deluxe for Business ... they might all be the same company for all I know. These are the records they gave me and it appears to have resolved this issue. This client is not MSP, small time single user laptop, and I simply don't have the time to migrate one user to O365 right now or for the for seeable future.
