How about the old sfc /scannow - that fixed some network problem for me too after Win 10 update
Sure makes me think rootkit or some deep malware.
I just disabled all autoruns (trouble shooting option) rebooted. Still no joy. So then I set it normal (appeared to be on selective) previously. Rebooted and INTERNET! I thought perhaps there was a service that was disabled that went active once set to normal. But now I am also noticing that ESET is broken, not running, can not be repaired... So not sure which way to lean now..
Going to reinstall ESET and see what happens...
Would have broke the ping too though.I've read thru all of this and have not seen anything / anyone referring to the "hosts" file. I believe that I would look at this soon just to see if there are any entries in it which "could" be causing your issues. Who knows, it could be as simple as this?
