IObit forums hacked to spread ransomware to its members

Windows utility developer IObit was hacked over the weekend to perform a widespread attack to distribute the strange DeroHE ransomware to its forum members.

IOBit have never been high on my trust list.
Their software was always very suspect.
It was picked up by antivirus programs for many years as "suspect" but there were occassions where it was picked up as a"virus" or later as "malware."
I always treated it similarly to Slimware Utilities and others.
