Just a heads up about something I'm working on! wt.rs

I have just had a look and am impressed. I am a repairshopr subscriber, however, feel that this is trying to do too many jobs and is getting bulky/difficult to use. Once this allows you to customise emails, put disclaimers on and terms and conditions it may be very useful.

Just one thing I noticed. I am on a 27" Mac and the ticket update screen does not automatically extend as more comments are added you have to go down to the border and click and drag to expand it.

Hey PC Doctor!

Yeah the only "live update" features so far are ticket updates on the main page "dashboard" - this is something that will change in the near future however. - I just added this to the development list, thanks.

Also the windows did used to auto-resize but for a window with a lot of updates - it looked pretty silly :P I added a maximize button to the windows though to make more use of the space.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Moved the posts from the intro thread into here.

This is the original posting by @Robin Chan

Hello!

I'm Rob from the UK, I posted on reddit a few months ago about the custom software we use in my store - it got quite a bit of interest and decided to build a version for everyone.

I launched it literally a few days ago and it's already in 18 countries with 28 timezones, It's not as full featured *yet* but I'm adding new things every week and I'm looking for as much feedback as possible! I've got a team of redditors keeping me busy asking for a bunch of new features and I'd thought it might be a good idea to post elsewhere too!

Here's the reddit thread if anyone's interested :)

And here's the actual site: https://wt.rs/

I use this for keeping track of workshop repairs that I do on the side. A great system that has most of what PCRT has.

I'd love to see the author take a real shot at the PSA space!!

Scaling any home-grown software to a wider market is hard, hard work. We all complain about the softwares we use, but I wouldn't trade places with the developers for love nor money. When you're small and one of your 9 users calls to request a feature, you set aside a couple of hours and in it goes. Easy. Now imagine you have 5000 users and you get 200 calls a day asking for new features. Then some random Windows update breaks something platform-wide, and users can't run their businesses until you fix it. I wish the OP well, and hope they succeed - adding another choice in the limited market is always a good thing - but I hope they have their eyes open wide.
