I've got a brand new Lenovo V14-ADA laptop here. It was bought on Monday and yesterday it started to freeze and then black screen. After turning off you cant boot for another 5 mins or so. The fan is on full speed when it freezes so im thinking the processor is overheating. The freezing happens within a couple mins of it being on.
Can you think of anything else before i suggest an RMA? As its in warranty i dont want to be opening it up to check/reapply thermal paste and when it freezes almost immediately it makes it very difficult to test.
Its not just in windows that this happens, it even went black screen on the boot device selection menu.
If it was stable i would try a BIOS recovery (if such a thing was possible on this machine) but i think that is far too risky.
