Need a recommendations on a DVD player for a client for his TV.
Background: he's a great guy, a near retirement aged lawyer who's very successful. He recently bought a new home and completely renovated it, top notch. I helped him get a new laptop ($3,500) and two new TVs - LG OLED models that were $3,500 and $2,500. He likes high end stuff and doesn't flinch on the price. He also is not very tech savvy, so whatever he gets should be EXTREMELY easy to use.
I've kept his setup simple. Just the LG TV. No cable box. Uses Youtube TV, built in app. So just one remote, the one that came with the TV.
I dread the thought of introducing another remote. "OK, use this remote to switch to HDMI2, then pick up this remote to control the playback". You know how people struggle with something we find so simple.
Anyway, was thinking the best bet would be to get an LG Blu-ray player and hope that it works seamlessly.
Sure, it's $299, but he won't mind. Especially if it's easy to use and on the chance that he may pick up some 4K content to play on that gorgeous TV.
Thoughts?
