It's almost 70 here on Long Island and its humid. So this afternoon me and some friends are going to have a BBQ. I can't remember the last time it was so warm for almost all of December. We had a few cool days but this is nuts. Right now there are people walking down the street in t-shirts. It's supposed to cool down again but then get very warm again in a few days.

I know many parts of this giant country get warm weather this time of year, even on Christmas, but this is just so strange for us as we normally would be wearing parkas right now.

WTF??? Really? I think sometimes I was looking at the wrong weather alamanac when I opted to move to Vegas. I swear it was hot all year round and since Nov, it's been in the 50's and 40's. Enjoy it Jimbo. Dang.

Together with the Boss, madam and madam's boyfriend on a cruse around the carribean.

Halfway between Jamaica and Mexico. Cuba next week.

It hit 46 degrees today on the sun deck. Got a bit of heat exhaustion.

Than God for Beer [emoji3]

Merry Xmas everybody. [emoji173]️

I didnt drink for once on Xmas Day - too bloody hot 37 Degrees. Just had cold meat [cooked turkey+pork Christmas Eve] Just cooked baked potatos, pumpkin and of course Crackling on the day - with salads whatever they are :p Beautiful cool change today though down to 21 Degrees with rain - awesome.

CT here, across the Long Island Sound. Amazingly warm weather. Really helps to break up the long stretch of winter! I'm hoping they get some snow up in NH/VT though so I can do a weekend ski trip or two this year.

It was warm here yesterday it was in the 80's. T-shirt and jeans for me, at night I just threw on a polo. I wish it was colder though, would love for it to have been in the 50's. We don't experience that down in South Florida unless we get those cold blasts coming from up north.

I picked up $19 dollar tickets for Ragged, suppose to go this week, its not looking to good. Oh well, maybe throw an extra coat of wax and try my hand at mud gliding.

I think the founding fathers of the "States" decided to do whatever they could to change from their English ways... from driving on the other side of the street to measuring all things differently. Even pronouncing words differently... example = aluminum

I think you're probably right, except imperial measurement is/was British of course. In fact, imperial measurements are still used (to a lesser extent) over here, even though we officially began adopting the metric system about 50 years ago. Many British people, especially older generations, still prefer to use feet and inches and, some measurements, like pints, miles and mph, are still officially used.

After about 5 days of rain here in the Midwest (Indiana, USA) we finally have had some snow showers earlier today. Not enough to show on the ground, but light showers still the same. It's about time we started getting the colder / slicker weather around here.

Well, had our first spat of bad weather, couple of inches of snow then snow showers, etc. Round trip, 110 miles, drive on I90 saw 8 accidents, 6 out and 2 back in.
We got about 5 inches of snow followed by freezing rain. Had to go into Boston ( they got an inch or two) with my husband, that was a fun 2.5 hr drive in, half a dozen accidents each way. On the up side, no one is looking to pick up today and thats good because we are so backed up and nothing Is ready to go.
