Ouch! Are you claiming 40p/Mile? I think that is all we are allowed to claim according to HMRC

45p per mile for first 10k miles

As I remember it, business mileage starts when leave to go directly to your first job and ends when you get back to the office, but you can be running around doing other stuff while you're out. You might pick up groceries, make a beer run, etc...on your way back home. Not something that Google Maps would provide.

DOh! I have missed a trick there.. how long has that been at that rate.. I have been claiming 40p for the last 10 years!
