Did sfc nothing
reset winsock
reset tcp/ip
reset firewall
ran Rizone Complete Internet Repair
tried static ip and google dns nothing..
cleaned network driver and installed new network drivers
ipconfig only shows toledo tunneling adpator not connected
tried a new network card still no internet.
booted to linux disc on old card can browse web no problem so rules out bad network card.
Guess only thing left is a windows repair or did i miss something.

Most of the time when I see a good card but no network, it's a virus/malware issue. Didn't see any scans in your list.

Did a full kapsersky rescue cd, avb32 rescue cd,combofix, mbam, adwcleaner, ccleaner, roguekiller.
found minor cookies and 2 browser bars removed all plugins as well and reset browsers.

Network issue? WTF does that mean? I assume you can't browse websites. Can you ping? Tracert? Ping by name? Ping by IP?

DHCP? Static IP? Wireless? Wired? Can ya bother to give me a brand name?

I have tried bootable linux mint cd surfs no problem so it must be a system file problem sfc showed none.

You sure on drivers? Sounds like a driver issue. Do you see the card listed in device manager or is it not even showing? Did you check the settings on the card in device manager if it is present?

No sense trying google DNS, and over half the stuff you tried if an ipconfig /all won't even show the card and if you can't ping something locally on the network.

It sounds as if the nix has the proper driver loaded but windows doesn't...or it's corrupt driver. When you put in the test card, does it recognize? If I reached this point and still no resolution, I'd wipe and try on fresh install.

For grins did you try a new user profile or safemode with networking?

Tried safe mode with networking didn't work going to try new user profile if that does not work going to replace all network system files by hand if it still does not work in place upgrade repair will be last thing to try already have an image of his hard drive done before i started.

Try Tweakings AIO repair tool.

Tried that did not work i just did a windows upgrade repair that was only thing that fixed it.
My guess is that one system file was patched and got botched having to do with network did not have time to replace manually just did upgrade repair it replaces them all anyways.

I hate to be Capt Obvious but have you tried a new router? Are there other devices connected to the router?

It's great that M$ has finally gotten to the point where we can "refresh" system files without having to reinstall all the apps, etc.

Galdorf, I might have a solution, find the article i wrote called "The Mysterious Case of Norton living in the Repository." It's on technibble in the forums.
