Is anyone else experiencing this? I've used Ninite successfully ever since I found out about it here on TN. Over the last several days, though, installs have been so slow (no errors, just extremely slow) that I've switched back to regular installs in the field and only use Ninite on the bench where I can let it run unattended.

I just installed Flash, Java, Adobe Reader, Malwarebytes and MSE on a fresh Win7 install on a new hard drive. It took over an hour. Pings and tracerts to Ninite.com look normal, and other downloads work normally, so I don't think it's my environment.

just installed, live messanger, chrome, vlc, flash, java, shockwave, air, adobe reader, avast, malwarebytes, spybot, teracopy, revo and they all installed pretty smoothly... my question is if i save the exe file can i install these on any computer that has internet connection?

Yes

To the op I haven't noticed it being slow but the one time I have tried to run it today it erorred out while trying to connect.

You can reuse the exe but it is specific to the exact programs you are installing. Since the programs tend to be different for each customer it doesn't work that well (for example not everyone has iTunes, or Google Earth or MSSE). Pro is $20/month and I think is so with it... you can do really cool scripting and have more options like no desktop shortcuts or ignore certain upgrade (like Teamviewer). Plus it caches the downloads so you are not downloading every time you use it so it really speeds things up. I've been using pro for about 18 months and it is one of the main tools I use.

Well everything seems back to normal this morning. I did the identical Java/Flash/MSE/MB/Reader install and it took about 7 minutes. Whatever it was has been fixed.
