Office 2013 Fonts

A client just called as they have been asked to use a font called Gill Sans MT for several MS Word documents. The whole office runs Office 2013 Home & Business and they don't have the font available, I however have Office 2013 Pro Plus installed and do have it. I found this link that suggests it was part of Office 2007 & 2010 but mentions nothing about Office 2013 as i don't think its been updated, this link suggests its not part of 2013 Pro Plus or has been removed.

I know they can buy the font from here for £300+ but i was looking for a free solution first.

Any ideas?

Use Fabs to grab the fonts from your system and restore it to theirs.

I however have Office 2013 Pro Plus installed and do have it.

Are you allowed to do that? I thought there was certain licensing laws and regulations about font usage?

You should be treating fonts just like any other copyrighted material.

The problem i have is that documentation is so vague, the link you posted doesn't even list Office 2013 but yet i have the font installed and so does my test pc with Office 2013 Pro Plus installed.

Bet you have it because you have Publisher and they don't. Time to sell an upgrade to be in compliance with EULA.

I know that's what i don't understand, there are lots of fonts i have in Word that don't appear in that list.

My PC runs Windows 8.1 and our test PC Windows 7, both were fresh installs of Office 2013 and had no previous version of office installed.

Could you purchase a copy of say Picture It 2002 and use that license? I don't know if that would cover the whole company, but surely one of those listed programs can be had in bulk for dirt cheap.

It turned out one of the computers had Office2013 Pro so the end user decided to just copy the font to the other computers in the office. Not a good solution but Microsoft definitely need to update there documentation and make things clearer.
