Hey all,

Has anyone been experiencing issues with the newest version of Patch my PC?

Had 3 different computers with the same issue. All yesterday. Still happening as of this morning.

All HP machines,,,1 desktop and 2 laptops
Win 7 HP on 2 and Win 8.1 on 1
64 bit

On all machines when patch my PC was run, it opened, did an update to the newest version and then:

"Patch My PC has failed to run.....windows will check for a solution", (of course, none found).

Things I've tried:
Manual download from their site and also MajorGeeks mirror.
Run as admin.
Run in different compatibility modes.
Run from different drives.
Changed extensions and names
Restart, of course.

Only Patch MY PC, everything else works, installs and runs fine.

Problems with their site maybe????????

All machines had been cleaned and all MS patches updated. This was one of the last steps. It started after Patch MY PC did it's program update.
I can't run my old version, because it always downloads the newer version.

Anybody know how to run it without having it update. Internet un-connected fails to load program.

Didn't have time to do much digging through the logs, which will be my next step.

Thanks.
Harold

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows of any issues.

I personally can't help. Stopped using it yonks ago when it patches auslogics to include their PuP crap automagically. Also Ninite Pro.

Any suggestions on an alternative to speed things up.

I use with unchecky and seem to have very few issues with PUPs.

Thanks.

I ran it just now on my windows 7 pro machine with no problems. I stopped using it years ago when it would include things like the askbar in java updates, but tried it out again about 7 months ago and no longer adds the bundled crap anymore.

Ok,

The laptop I still have is suddenly running it ok. ?????????

The desktop, no go. The other laptop is still offsite and waiting for something else.

Guess I'll try and dig a little deeper into the desktop issue.
Read some where else, it could be a .Net Framework update issue.
I'll have to look back and see if this is one of the updates that I did.
